JOHN RANDAZZO, MD is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with advanced fellowship training in sports medicine. He completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, where he graduated cum laude. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Randazzo completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, the regional center for the most complex orthopaedic trauma. He was named chief resident in his final year.

As an orthopaedic sports medicine fellow at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., Dr. Randazzo gained extensive experience as associate team physician for numerous professional, collegiate, and high school teams, including the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens, NBA’s Washington Wizards, MLB’s Washington Nationals, and Towson University football program. He has also served as a physician for the NFL Combine, MLB spring training, and NCAA postseason basketball tournament.

Dr. Randazzo has a passion for sports. As a multisport athlete, he knows all too well how sports-related injuries can potentially derail one’s athletic aspirations. He currently enjoys playing golf, cycling, and bodysurfing, and loves rooting on his Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Dr. Randazzo is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He has a specific interest in ACL injuries and has lectured on the newest advances in ACL surgical treatment in front of international audiences.
